CCP Snorlax finally did it and packed the EVE launcher for Linux.
It comes with it's own version of wine and so on.
Works like a charm for me, so if you as well play EVE on Linux, give it a try.

I've just swapped from *nix to a Mac, after years of wanting this feature Awesome to see CCP Snorlax finally come through with it!

hows the performance/graphic quality of the Linux client sofar? Is it worth it the run it on my work/school machines running Slackware (GTX 970)?

 Well, since I only play on linux, I have no windows to compare. But I cannot complain.

Its only because of gaming that I use Windows at all! 

I really like Linux (even if I am and always will be a noob )

If I can get into Eve enough then this would be awesome
